In August 2017, after 6 years in the accommodation/hospitality industry, Michelle and Lindal sold their family business, the Mid North Motor Inn, based in Kaikohe, to the new proprietors Tracey and Angus McCreadie. Now, with all three children having left the nest, this ‘husband and wife’ team aim to enjoy their next venture together, All Seasons Bike Hire and believe they have the necessary work ethic, skills and experience to lead, manage and serve effectively.
Michelle grew up in Christchurch but moved to Hanmer Springs during her years at Amuri High School. She worked and managed various bars, cafes in Hanmer Springs and Christchurch and has extensive knowledge of food preparation and customer service. Lindal also grew up in Christchurch and after attending St Bede’s College, completed his associate diploma in Jazz Studies. He has primarily worked and continues to work as a musician throughout his working career but also teaching and the real estate industry.
Since they were married, Michelle and Lindal and their family have lived in Nagoya, Japan for 3 years while teaching and performing in bands, Invercargill for 3 years as students of the S.I.T, Michelle in tourism, Lindal in Audio Sound Production and Arrowtown for 3 years while Lindal dedicated his time and energy to being self-employed in real estate in Queenstown.
With the disastrous event that occurred on 22nd February 2011 in Christchurch, we made the decision to move north with our family to Kaikohe where we purchased the Mid North Motor Inn accommodation business on the 11th April of that year. Subsequently, we have enjoyed our time living and working in the area and have had so many people who have made us feel welcome and part of the community.
